A.TR.-certificate

When trading with Turkey, you need an A.TR. certificate. The certificate ensures that your goods can enter the recipient country duty-free.

The certificate and when to use it

The A.TR.-certificate is unique because it is used for imports and exports between the EU and one specific country – Turkey. The certificate, like the certificate of origin and the EUR.1-certificate, aims to ensure more favorable tariff rates for the countries involved. When goods are transported between the EU and Turkey, they can be imported with lower- or no customs duties – which is advantageous for any importing- or exporting business.

The A.TR.-certificate is never strictly required when sending goods to Turkey. However, it is clearly advantageous to use the certificate because you can have your customs duty reduced or eliminated.

EUR.1- and A.TR.-certificates always need a stamp from a Customs Authority before they are valid. This can be done with the help of our partners.
